The Ghanaian entertainment industry has been thrown into mourning following the reported death of popular actress and media personality Beverly Afaglo Baah at the age of 42, just days before her birthday.
News of her passing was confirmed by her husband, musician Eugene Kwadwo Boadu Baah, widely known in the entertainment scene as Choirmaster and a former member of the music group Praye.
In an emotional Instagram post shared on Sunday, May 24, the musician opened up about the pain and heartbreak caused by the loss of his wife.
“My heart is shattered beyond words over the death of my beloved wife, Beverly Afaglo!!!” Choirmaster wrote while expressing grief over the devastating loss.
According to him, Beverly’s death occurred only four days before she was expected to celebrate her birthday, making the tragedy even more difficult for the family and loved ones to bear.
“It would have been just about four more days to your birthday, but I guess the Lord wanted to celebrate with you, so He called you,” he added.
Choirmaster described the late actress as the pillar of his life, noting that she brought him strength, happiness, and unwavering support throughout their years together.
He reflected on the memories they created as a couple and pledged to preserve the dreams and projects they had both started.
“You were my strength, my happiness, and the reason my life felt complete. I promise to take care of and continue everything we planned and started.
Until my last breath, you will remain in my heart forever,” he stated.
The heartbreaking announcement has since sparked an outpouring of tributes and condolences across social media, with fans, actors, musicians, and other industry players sharing messages of sympathy and remembering Beverly Afaglo Baah for her contributions to Ghana’s entertainment industry.
Known for her vibrant personality and presence on screen, Beverly built a strong following over the years through her acting career and public engagements.
Her death has therefore come as a shock to many within and outside the creative arts community.
