The Ghana National Gas Limited Company (Ghana Gas) has dismissed reports alleging that its current management acquired a property at an inflated price, describing the publications as false and misleading.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, the company said its attention had been drawn to media reports claiming that the current management purchased a property located at No. 225 Osibisa Close, Airport West, Accra, at an inflated cost.

Ghana Gas categorically denied the allegations, stating that the current management played no role in the acquisition of the property.

According to the company, the property was acquired under a previous administration and was later cited in the 2024 Auditor General’s Report, which contained adverse findings relating to the transaction.

“The current Management had no role whatsoever in the acquisition of the said property,” the statement emphasized.

The company further disclosed that the circumstances surrounding the acquisition are currently under investigation by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) and other relevant state investigative agencies.

Ghana Gas said it is fully cooperating with the ongoing investigations and expressed confidence that the facts would establish that the present management had no involvement in the property acquisition.

“We are aware that matters relating to this transaction are currently under investigation by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) and other relevant state investigative agencies,” the statement noted.

The company therefore urged media organisations and the general public to disregard what it described as false and misleading publications and to verify information before circulating or publishing such claims.

Ghana Gas also reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, accountability, sound corporate governance, and the prudent management of public resources.
