Ghanaian boxer Seth “Freezy Macbones” Gyimah has been crowned the new WBO Africa Light Heavyweight champion after defeating Nigeria’s Godday “Zodsolo” Appah.

The highly anticipated African title bout saw the Ghanaian emerge victorious over his Nigerian opponent, adding another significant achievement to his professional boxing career.

Freezy Macbones entered the contest with the objective of securing the WBO Africa Light Heavyweight title and delivered a performance strong enough to overcome Appah, popularly known as “Zodsolo.”

The victory strengthens Gyimah’s position in the African light heavyweight division and adds a major regional title to his growing boxing résumé.

For the Ghanaian, the triumph represents another important step in his professional career as he continues to establish himself on the African boxing scene.

Gyimah, who has built a strong following among Ghanaian boxing fans, has become one of the country’s prominent professional boxers in recent years. His latest victory is expected to further raise his profile and potentially open the way for bigger opportunities on the continental and international boxing circuit.

The WBO Africa title is also significant as continental titles often serve as an important pathway for boxers seeking to improve their rankings and position themselves for major international championship opportunities.

With the victory over Appah, attention will now turn to Gyimah’s next move and whether he will defend his newly won title or pursue further opportunities within the light heavyweight division.

The Ghanaian boxing fraternity and fans have welcomed the achievement, with the victory adding to Ghana’s growing presence in African professional boxing.
