Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central and entrepreneur, Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, has officially ended her seven-year professional and contractual relationship with Ghanaian music duo Keche Global.

The decision follows the expiration of the agreement between the parties, according to an official statement issued by GEM Multimedia Ghana Ltd.

The company said Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe had decided not to renew or continue the arrangement, bringing to a close a professional relationship that began in 2019.

It clarified that Keche Global is no longer under the management, representation, investment or business operations of Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe or GEM Multimedia Ghana Ltd.

“Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe and KECHE GLOBAL are no longer doing business together,” the statement said, describing the decision as a final professional one.

During the seven-year partnership, Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe served as Executive Producer and, according to GEM Multimedia Ghana Ltd, provided financial, professional and personal support towards the development of Keche and the advancement of its music career.

As a major investor in the project, she supported several areas of the duo’s activities, including music recording and production, music videos, marketing, promotion, artist development, branding, photography, creative content, travel, international activities and performances.

Her involvement also covered media promotion, management, career development and other creative and entertainment projects.

The company said her contribution went beyond financial investment, noting that she played roles in shaping the group’s vision, leadership, executive production, management, marketing, branding and industry relationships.

According to the statement, she travelled with the duo and supported various aspects of their activities because she believed in the musicians’ talent and wanted to help expand their reach beyond Ghana into the wider African and international music markets.

The seven-year professional relationship coincided with the release of several songs, collaborations and creative projects by the group.

Among the works listed by GEM Multimedia Ghana Ltd are “Odo” and “Today” in 2019; “Same Girl” featuring Akwaboah, “No Dulling” featuring Kuami Eugene and “Good Mood” featuring Fameye in 2020.

The duo subsequently released “Faya” featuring Epixode in 2021, followed by “Life” and “Something Must Happen” in 2022.

In 2023, the group released “Party of the Year” featuring Mr. Drew, while “Kiss” followed in 2024.

The statement also listed “Papapa” featuring Lasmid, “Maame” and “Enjoy Life” among the group’s releases in 2025.

Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe expressed appreciation to the various artists, producers, songwriters, musicians, directors, engineers, managers, media professionals and other creatives who contributed to the group’s journey throughout the partnership.

GEM Multimedia Ghana Ltd also explained that, during her involvement with the group, Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe changed the group’s name from Keche to Keche Global.

The statement said the change formed part of a broader vision to position the duo for a larger African and international audience.

According to the company, the name Keche Global has since become the group’s identity.

Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe said she was pleased to see the name continue and wished the group success as it embarks on its next chapter.

The statement also sought to distinguish the end of the business relationship from Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe’s personal relationship with Keche Andrew.

Keche Global comprises Andrew Kofi Cudjoe, popularly known as Keche Andrew, and Joshua Kojo Ampah, known professionally as Keche Joshua.

GEM Multimedia Ghana Ltd stressed that the announcement does not signify the end of their marriage, family or personal relationship.

Rather, it is limited to the professional and business arrangement involving Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, GEM Multimedia Ghana Ltd and Keche Global.

The company said the decision was not prompted by a dispute, hostility or controversy, but was intended to formally close one professional chapter and allow both parties to pursue separate paths.

With the partnership now concluded, Keche Global will take responsibility for its own management and business affairs.

The duo will be free to determine its future professional partnerships, including choosing its management team, investors, business partners, record companies, promoters, producers and other industry professionals.

Similarly, Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe and her companies will redirect their attention towards their own businesses, investments, music projects, artists and other opportunities.

She will no longer serve as the group’s investor, manager, Executive Producer or financial supporter.

GEM Multimedia Ghana Ltd urged the public not to interpret the development as an invitation for blame or controversy, stressing that both sides should be allowed to move forward independently and peacefully.

The company also addressed potential questions surrounding music and creative rights associated with the group.

It explained that the announcement was not intended to trigger disputes over songs, recordings or other creative works connected to Keche.

According to the statement, any rights, interests or ownership arrangements affected by the end of the professional relationship will be handled professionally and in accordance with the applicable agreements and the law.

It added that Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe has no intention of creating unnecessary obstacles for Keche Global and wanted the duo to continue making music and developing its career.

Following the conclusion of the partnership, Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe is expected to redirect her attention and resources towards new projects, talents, music ventures, investments and business opportunities.

Through GEM Multimedia Ghana Ltd, she intends to focus on discovering, developing and promoting the next generation of African musical talent.

Her wider business interests also include Golden Empire Legacy Ltd, which focuses on mining, gold and investment, as well as the Joana Gyan Foundation, which is involved in community development, education, youth initiatives and social impact programmes.

Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe currently serves as the Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central.

In her final message concerning the professional partnership, Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe expressed gratitude to Keche Andrew and Keche Joshua for the years they worked together and for the experiences, music and lessons gained during the seven-year journey.

She wished both musicians peace, good health, happiness and greater success in their future endeavours.

She also reiterated that although the professional partnership has ended, respect and family ties remained.

GEM Multimedia Ghana Ltd further appealed to fans and music lovers in Ghana, Africa and beyond to continue supporting Keche Global by streaming the duo’s music, watching their videos, following their social media platforms, attending their performances and supporting their future projects.

The company emphasised that the end of the business relationship should not be interpreted as the end of public support for the music duo.

The development marks the closure of a seven-year professional chapter between Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe and Keche Global, while both parties prepare to pursue new opportunities independently.
