The Member of Parliament (MP) for Jomoro Constituency in the Western Region, Dorcas Affo-Toffey, has donated more than 30 motorcycles to National Democratic Congress (NDC) coordinators in the constituency to improve grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2028 general elections.
The donation, according to the Deputy Minister of Transport, is intended to address transportation challenges faced by party coordinators, particularly those working in remote communities where access can be difficult.
The initiative follows requests from constituency coordinators for logistical support to enhance their mobility and enable them to carry out grassroots activities more effectively.
Madam Affo-Toffey said the provision of the motorcycles was part of efforts to strengthen the party’s grassroots structures and improve engagement with residents across the constituency.
She reaffirmed her commitment to promoting unity among party members and providing logistical assistance to organisers to support their activities ahead of the next general elections.
The motorcycles are expected to facilitate movement across the constituency, particularly in communities where long distances and poor road access pose challenges to grassroots mobilisation and community engagement.
The Deputy Transport Minister also called for continued cooperation among party members and supporters, emphasising the importance of unity and collective effort in strengthening the NDC’s organisational structures.
The donation comes as political parties begin preparations for the 2028 general elections, with grassroots mobilisation and constituency-level organisation expected to play a role in their electoral activities.
