The government’s economic policies are drawing praise from political and business leaders.

Kwame Owusu Danso Esq., the 2024 Movement for Change Vice Presidential Candidate, has hailed the government’s performance, describing it as “idyllic”, citing reduced inflation and a more stable cedi.

This comes amid what many have described as an “unprecedented economic transformation”, marked by rising foreign reserves and renewed investor confidence.

Speaking to 1960news, Danso credited Mahama’s administration for achieving significant macroeconomic stability in its first year but urged the government to consolidate these gains and focus on improving livelihoods for Ghanaians.

“The economy is central to every nation’s development.

The performance of Ato Forson as Finance Minister and Dr. Johnson Pandit Asiama as Governor of the Bank of Ghana showcases their economic prowess,” Danso said.

He highlighted the cedi’s strength, noting that importers are now at ease with clearing goods at the port.

He also lauded the government’s efforts to reduce petroleum prices and grant media freedom.
