The Minister for Finance, Dr Cassiel Ato Baah Forson, is expected to present the Government’s 2027 Budget Statement and Economic Policy to Parliament on Thursday, November 12, 2026.

The presentation will outline the government’s fiscal and economic priorities for the 2027 financial year, including its revenue mobilisation strategies, expenditure plans and policy measures aimed at sustaining economic growth and improving the living conditions of Ghanaians.

The Majority Leader, Hon. James Agalga, announced the scheduled date during parliamentary proceedings when he presented the Business Statement for the second week of the current Meeting of Parliament.

He subsequently urged Members of Parliament to take note of the date and make the necessary arrangements to be present in the House for the presentation of the national budget.

The presentation of the annual budget is one of the major constitutional and parliamentary responsibilities of the government, providing an opportunity for the Finance Minister to account for the country’s economic performance and communicate the administration’s spending and revenue priorities for the coming year.

The 2027 Budget Statement is expected to provide an assessment of Ghana’s economic outlook and outline the government’s approach to managing public finances, controlling expenditure, strengthening domestic revenue mobilisation and addressing key development priorities.

It will also set out the government’s proposed allocations to critical sectors, including education, healthcare, agriculture, infrastructure, energy and social protection, as well as measures intended to support businesses, stimulate private sector investment and create employment opportunities.

Following its presentation, the budget is expected to be referred to the appropriate parliamentary committee for consideration. Members of Parliament will subsequently have the opportunity to debate its contents and scrutinise the government’s proposed fiscal measures before the House proceeds with the necessary parliamentary processes.

The November 12 presentation will therefore mark a significant stage in the government’s preparations for the 2027 financial year, as policymakers, businesses, investors and the general public await details of the economic direction and fiscal priorities outlined in the proposed budget.
