The Effia Kwesimintsim Municipal Assembly (EKMA) has assured residents that steps are actively underway to restore the Jubilee Park, dismissing concerns that the site has been abandoned.
In a public announcement dated April 15, 2026, the Assembly said the redevelopment process is progressing steadily following the successful relocation of traders who previously occupied the park.
According to the Assembly, it is currently engaging the Western Regional Coordinating Council (WRCC), central government, and other key stakeholders to secure strategic investors to support the transformation of the park into a modern and vibrant public space.
The Assembly emphasized that the restoration project is being carefully planned to ensure a well-structured and sustainable outcome that will benefit the community in the long term.
