The High Court in Accra has officially read the Last Will and Testament of the late Founder and Leader of Kristo Asafo Mission of Ghana, Apostle Professor Emeritus Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, marking a significant milestone in the administration of his estate.
A statement issued by the Kristo Asafo Mission of Ghana on Monday, July 6, 2026, said the reading was conducted by the High Court Registrar of the Probate and Administration Division following a formal application by the late founder’s children through their lawyers, Marfo & Associates.
According to the statement, the application, dated June 29, 2026, led the Deputy Registrar of the Probate and Administration Division to invite family members and other interested parties to the official reading, which took place at the Will Reading Room of the High Court Complex in Accra at 11:50 a.m.
The church said the children of the late Apostle were present or duly represented during the proceedings.
Also in attendance were the General Secretary of Kristo Asafo Mission, Dr. Kwadwo Oduro Addo, Deputy General Secretary (Administration) and Legal Advisor, Nana Kofi Safo Kantanka Esq., businessman Seth Appiah, popularly known as Osebo the Zaraman, Oppong Safo, and other interested parties.
While confirming that the will had been read, the church indicated that the contents would be communicated to its members at the appropriate time.
“The details of the Last Will and Testament of our most revered late Founder and Leader will be made known to all members at the appropriate time,” the statement said.
The church appealed to members to remain calm as the process continues, expressing confidence that the final wishes of its founder would be respected.
“May the peace of our Lord be with you all as we take the next steps in fulfilling the solemn and last wishes of our dear and most revered Founder and Leader,” the statement added.
Meanwhile, businessman and fashion entrepreneur Seth Appiah, popularly known as Osebo the Zaraman, has publicly called for unity following the reading of the will.
Speaking after the court proceedings, Osebo said the family and members of the church should support whichever individual the late founder named as his successor.
“All we want is peace. Our father, Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, can take his own decisions. If his will says he has given everything to his son, Kwadwo Safo Akofena, we will support him,” he said.
Osebo further claimed that the will had indeed favoured Kwadwo Safo Akofena, adding that the family would fully support him to ensure the continued growth and stability of the Kristo Asafo Mission.
“And truly they have read the will, and it went in favour of Akofena. So we will give him all the support, just like his father, so that the church can continue,” he stated.
The church has not officially disclosed the contents of the will or confirmed any succession arrangements. It has maintained that details of the testament will be announced to members at the appropriate time.
