National Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye, popularly known as Nana B, has reaffirmed his commitment to completing and handing over a 30-bed Children’s Ward at the Tafo Government Hospital before the end of the year.
Nana B, who is also contesting for the position of National Vice Chairman in the NPP’s upcoming national executive elections, disclosed that the project was inspired by a personal promise he made to God five years ago, on the eve of his 40th birthday.
According to him, the decision to support the construction of the facility was motivated by the poor state of the existing children’s ward at the Tafo Government Hospital, which had become a major concern for both the Ghana Health Service and residents in the area.
Providing an update on the project, Nana B revealed that the facility is now about 85 percent complete.
He said visiting the construction site and witnessing the steady progress has been one of the most rewarding experiences of his life.
“As of my visit today, the project is 85 percent complete. Watching this vision steadily become a reality has been one of the most meaningful and fulfilling journeys of my life,” he stated.
Nana B noted that as he marks his 45th birthday, nothing would bring him greater joy than seeing the hospital completed and commissioned before the close of the year.
He expressed hope that the completed facility would significantly improve healthcare delivery for children in the area and provide quality medical services for generations to come.
“There is no greater birthday gift I could ask for than to witness the completion and commissioning of this facility before the end of the year so that generations of children and their families can receive the quality healthcare they deserve,” he said.
The NPP National Organiser stressed that the initiative has never been about personal recognition but rather about making a lasting impact on society through service and compassion.
“This journey has never been about me. It has always been about giving hope, preserving lives, and leaving behind a legacy of compassion and service,” he emphasized.
Nana B expressed appreciation to all individuals and organizations that have contributed to the project and voiced confidence that, with God’s grace, the children’s ward would soon be completed and officially handed over for use.
The completion of the 30-bed facility is expected to enhance pediatric healthcare services at the Tafo Government Hospital and ease pressure on the hospital’s existing infrastructure.
