The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has released the filing fee schedule for candidates seeking to contest the party’s 2026 regional executive elections as part of its ongoing internal reorganisation programme.
Under the approved schedule, aspirants for the position of Regional Chairman are required to pay a filing fee of GH¢50,000, making it the highest filing fee among the regional executive positions.
The party has also announced that nominations for the regional executive elections will open on Tuesday, October 6, 2026.
According to the fee schedule, candidates seeking to contest the position of Regional Vice Chairman will pay GH¢30,000, while the same fee applies to aspirants for the position of Regional Secretary.
The filing fee for the Regional Organizer is GH¢10,000, with aspirants for Deputy Secretary required to pay GH¢30,000 and those seeking the position of Deputy Organizer paying GH¢10,000.
For the financial and communications portfolios, the party has set the filing fee for Regional Treasurer at GH¢20,000, while the Deputy Treasurer will pay GH¢10,000.
Aspirants for the position of Regional Communication Officer will pay GH¢20,000, with the filing fee for the Deputy Communication Officer fixed at GH¢10,000.
The party has further pegged the filing fee for the Zongo Caucus Coordinator at GH¢15,000, while the Youth Organizer position attracts a fee of GH¢15,000 and the Deputy Youth Organizer position GH¢10,000.
For the women’s wing, aspirants for Regional Women’s Organizer will pay GH¢15,000, while the Deputy Women’s Organizer position attracts a filing fee of GH¢10,000.
In addition to the filing fees, the NDC said candidates will be required to purchase nomination forms at a cost of GH¢1,000.
The party has introduced a 50% discount on filing fees for female aspirants and persons with disabilities (PWDs).
The NDC has directed all prospective candidates to make payments exclusively through its online platform at forms.ghanandc.com.
Payments can be made through all mobile money networks, Visa or Mastercard, according to the release.
The party has specifically stated that it will not accept bankers’ drafts or payments made through banks, emphasising that all payments must be completed online.
It also cautioned aspirants that both nomination and filing fees are non-refundable.
The release forms part of the NDC’s 2026 internal reorganisation roadmap, under which the party is undertaking elections at various levels to renew its structures and select executives to lead its grassroots and regional operations.
At the constituency level, the party’s filing fee structure has also set the chairmanship fee at GH¢5,0005, while aspirants for deputy chairmanship and secretary positions are required to pay GH¢3,000, with fees for other positions scaled accordingly.
The introduction of discounted fees for female aspirants and PWDs forms part of the party’s arrangements for facilitating broader participation in its internal electoral processes.
The regional elections will determine executives responsible for key organisational functions across the regions, including administration, mobilisation, communication, youth affairs, women’s affairs, finance and engagement with specific caucuses.
The NDC has therefore urged all prospective aspirants to take note of the applicable fees, payment procedures and the opening date for nominations as they prepare to participate in the 2026 internal elections.
