The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has issued a stern response to what it describes as “misleading and sensational” media headlines.
Contrary to reports suggesting a legal “clearance,” the OSP maintains that Nana Yaw Duodu (alias Dr. Sledge) of Goldridge Ghana Limited remains a central figure in an active criminal investigation.
The OSP’s statement aims to correct the public record regarding the recent High Court ruling
The OSP clarified that it has not yet filed formal criminal charges against Dr. Sledge, therefore, no court has pronounced him “guilty” or “innocent.”
The probe focuses on the operations of the Minerals Income Investment Fund (MIIF) between 2020 and 2024.
The OSP revealed that the aspects of the investigation involving Dr. Sledge approximate a staggering USD 94 million.

While the High Court recently refused to confirm the freezing of certain assets, the OSP asserts that the legal battle is far from over.
”The assets remain frozen and are under the authority, protection, and preservation of the OSP in the public interest,” the Office stated.
The OSP confirmed it has taken legal steps to nullify the court’s refusal and continues to “re-secure” the properties.
These assets include vehicles valued at GHC 18 million, which were initially frozen in 2025.
The OSP is currently conducting “tracing operations” to identify and freeze additional assets suspected to be tainted.
The Office concluded by assuring the public that any individual against whom sufficient evidence is established will be arraigned before a court of competent jurisdiction.
