The Majority Leader, Hon. Mahama Ayariga, has announced that Parliament will adjourn sine die on Friday, March 27, 2026.
In a strategic move to ensure all outstanding government business is concluded before the break, Hon. Ayariga indicated that the House will shift its daily sitting time to 10:00 AM starting Tuesday, March 24.
This adjustment is intended to provide lawmakers with ample time to deliberate on critical matters remaining on the Order Paper.
The announcement was contained in the explanatory memorandum on the Business Statement for the eighth week of the session.
To streamline the final days of the sitting, the Majority Leader noted that the House would suspend the scheduling of new Questions and Statements.
This directive aims to clear the floor exclusively for the consideration and passage of outstanding Bills.
”This will afford the House the necessary time to dispense with the consideration of critical legislation currently before us,” Hon. Ayariga stated.
Underscoring the urgency of the upcoming week, the Majority Leader urged all Committee Chairpersons and leadership to remain present and fully engaged.
Their availability is seen as vital for the smooth transition of Bills referred to their respective committees through the final stages of the legislative process.
The House is expected to maintain a high-intensity schedule through the week as it races against the Friday deadline.
