Management of Bills Micro-Credit Limited has issued an official statement addressing a distressing video currently circulating on social media.
The footage depicts a physical altercation between the company’s field officers and a woman carrying a young child.
The video, which has sparked significant public outcry, shows a chaotic scene where the woman appears to fall to the ground while holding her baby.
According to the company’s preliminary assessment of the footage the altercation allegedly began when the woman attempted to retrieve a mobile phone from one of the field officers.
During the struggle, the woman who was holding her baby at the time fell to the ground.

In a press release, Bills Micro-Credit Limited described the situation as “deeply regrettable” and of “serious concern.”
