According to sources close to the former legislator, the incident occurred at the premises of Nana Kwadwo Safo Akofena’s residence, where supporters had reportedly gathered as part of ongoing efforts to install him as the successor to the late Apostle Prof. Emeritus Dr. Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, popularly known as Kantanka.
Information gathered indicates that tensions escalated at the scene, prompting officers from the Dome District Police Command to intervene and provide security.
Eyewitnesses alleged that Hon. Adwoa Safo was present at the location when armed men, said to be acting on the instructions of Nana Kwadwo Safo Akofena, opened fire on her vehicle.
