The Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (CTVET) has released the provisional results of the 2026 May/June Certificate II and other Technical Examinations.
The results cover candidates who participated in the examinations conducted by the Commission as part of efforts to assess competencies in technical, vocational and professional programmes.
In a statement issued on September 9, 2026, CTVET urged candidates and other stakeholders to access the provisional results through its official examination portal.
Candidates can check their results online at examination.ctvet.gov.gh using their Index Numbers and Unique Reference Numbers provided on their index slips.
According to CTVET, a total of 61,506 candidates sat for the 2026 May/June examinations.
The figure comprised 45,357 males and 16,149 females, representing an 11.23 per cent increase over the 55,295 candidates who participated in the 2025 examinations.
Of the total number of candidates who sat for the examinations, 36,874 obtained general passes, representing approximately 62.4 per cent of the candidates.
The results therefore provide an indication of the performance of candidates across the various core and elective components assessed during the examinations.
The Certificate II examinations consist of two main components: core components and elective components.
The core component covers English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science, Social Studies and Entrepreneurship.
The elective component, on the other hand, focuses on specific trade or professional area programmes, allowing candidates to demonstrate knowledge and competencies relevant to their respective fields of study.
CTVET also disclosed that the results of six candidates have been withheld pending further investigations into their alleged involvement in various forms of examination malpractice.
The Commission did not provide details of the specific offences under investigation but indicated that the affected results would remain withheld until the investigations are concluded.
In addition, the results of some other candidates have been withheld because of administrative issues.
CTVET said those results would be released once the outstanding administrative matters have been resolved.
The withholding of results forms part of the Commission’s examination administration and quality assurance measures aimed at safeguarding the integrity and credibility of its examinations.
CTVET has encouraged all candidates to check their provisional results through the designated online portal using the credentials provided to them.
Candidates who encounter difficulties or require further clarification have been advised to contact the Commission for assistance.
The release of the provisional results marks another stage in the assessment and certification process for candidates who participated in the 2026 May/June Certificate II and other Technical Examinations.
