Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club has dismissed reports claiming the club has placed a transfer valuation on its goalkeeper, Benjamin Asare, following his impressive performances for Ghana on the international stage.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, the club described the media and social media reports as “false and without factual basis,” insisting that no official asking price or transfer valuation has been placed on the highly-rated shot-stopper.
According to Hearts of Oak, the club has not authorised any individual, official or media organisation to communicate a transfer fee or valuation for Asare.
“The Club wishes to state, unequivocally, that these reports are false and without factual basis. Accra Hearts of Oak has not placed any valuation on Benjamin Asare, and has not authorised any individual or media outlet to communicate a transfer fee or asking price on its behalf,” the statement said.
The club acknowledged the growing speculation surrounding the goalkeeper’s future after his outstanding performances for Ghana at the FIFA World Cup, which have reportedly attracted interest from several clubs.
However, Hearts stressed that any transfer figures currently circulating in the media are purely speculative.
Management noted that while Hearts of Oak operates as a professionally run football club and remains open to considering offers that are in the best interests of both the player and the club, no official valuation has been communicated.
“As a professionally run football club, Hearts of Oak remains open to receiving and considering offers that serve the best interests of both the player and the Club. However, no official valuation has been communicated at this time, and any figures currently in circulation are speculative,” the statement added.
The club also urged journalists, supporters, stakeholders and the general public to disregard unverified reports concerning Benjamin Asare’s transfer value and encouraged media organisations to verify information through the club’s official communication channels before publication.
Despite the transfer rumours, Hearts of Oak reaffirmed its pride in the goalkeeper’s achievements, congratulating him for his exceptional performances for the Black Stars on the world stage.
The club further pledged its continued support for Asare’s development while maintaining professionalism and protecting the integrity of its operations.
