The Mobile Money Advocacy Group Ghana (MoMAG) is set to bring excitement and community spirit to Accra with its upcoming funfair, dubbed MoMAG Day Out 2026, scheduled for Friday, May 1, 2026.
The interinstitutional event will take place at the University of Ghana Rugby Stadium, starting promptly at 8:00 a.m., and is open to the general public, including families, friends, and non-members of the association.
Organised in collaboration with key industry players such as MTN Group, Enterprise Insurance, FinTech Limited, and ALT Finance Solutions, the event promises a packed lineup of competitive and recreational games aimed at fostering unity and engagement across institutions.
Participants will compete in a variety of activities including men’s and women’s football, Ludo, Oware, draft, tug of war, lime and spoon race, and other fun challenges designed to encourage teamwork and friendly rivalry.
The event will feature notable personalities within the financial and corporate sectors, including Haruna Shaibu, CEO of Mobile Money FinTech Limited; Akosuaa Ansah Antwi, Managing Director of Enterprise Insurance; and Andrew Boateng, CEO of ALT Finance Solutions.
MoMAG President, Edward Ofori Agyemang, who is leading the initiative, said the event builds on the success of previous editions held in Ada in 2024 and at the JMJ Sports Complex, Lashibi, in 2025.
According to organisers, the MoMAG Day Out is more than just a recreational gathering—it is a platform to strengthen bonds within the mobile money and fintech ecosystem while promoting inclusivity and collaboration among institutions.
They note that such funfairs play a vital role in enhancing social interaction, boosting morale, and offering a refreshing break from the pressures of work and daily routines.
By bringing together diverse groups in a relaxed setting, the event aims to foster trust, build relationships, and create shared experiences.
Organisers are encouraging the public to turn out in large numbers for what they describe as a “power-packed” day of games, entertainment, and networking.
