The National Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye, has expressed gratitude after being honoured by the Efutu Traditional Council in collaboration with Christian churches, the Muslim community, and other religious bodies during a public lecture held at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW).
The event, which took place at the Winneba campus of the university, was held under the theme: “Selfless Leadership and Public Service: Building Integrity, Trust and Accountability.”
Nana “B”, as he is popularly called, described the recognition as a humbling experience and thanked the organisers for acknowledging his contributions and support over the years.
According to him, he is particularly grateful to the Omanhene of the Effutu Traditional Area, Neenyi Ghartey VII, and the Member of Parliament for Effutu, Osahen Alexander Kwamina Afenyo-Markin, for their kind words and appreciation during the event.
“Yesterday, I was deeply honoured to receive recognition by the Efutu Traditional Council in collaboration with the Christian churches, the Muslim community and other religious bodies at a Public Lecture held at the University of Education, Winneba Campus,” he stated in a Facebook post.
Nana “B”, who is seeking to become the First National Vice Chairman of the NPP, noted that the honour serves as motivation for him to continue serving with dedication, integrity, and purpose in both public and political life.
“I receive this honour with humility and renewed commitment to continue serving with integrity, dedication and purpose,” he added.
He also extended appreciation to members of the NPP in the Central Region who attended the programme in large numbers to support him.
The public lecture brought together traditional authorities, political leaders, religious bodies, party supporters, and members of the academic community to discuss the importance of ethical leadership, accountability, and trust in public service.
The recognition of Henry Nana Boakye comes at a time when conversations surrounding integrity and responsible leadership continue to dominate Ghana’s political and governance landscape.
