The Nifahene of the Ngleshie Alata Traditional Council and head of the Ardenkpa Royal Family, Nii Dasebre Ardey Agyemang I, has called for peace, unity and cooperation among communities within the traditional council.
According to the traditional ruler, chieftaincy disputes remain one of the major challenges confronting the Ngleshie Alata Traditional Council and must be addressed through dialogue and collective efforts to ensure lasting peace and development.
Nii Dasebre Ardey Agyemang I said his primary objective as Nifahene is to contribute to the restoration and strengthening of peace and unity among the various communities under the traditional council.
He urged traditional leaders, royal families and residents to put aside differences and avoid disputes that could undermine the authority of the traditional council and hinder development.
Speaking to 1960need.com, the Nifahene appealed to communities within the Ngleshie Alata Traditional Council to refrain from actions that could fuel chieftaincy conflicts and instead embrace peaceful dialogue and unity.
“My aim is to bring peace and unity among every community within the Ngleshie Alata Traditional Council,” he said.
He stressed that a peaceful traditional environment was essential for communities to attract development and improve the welfare of residents.
Nii Dasebre Ardey Agyemang I made the call at Dansoman when a delegation from Tuba, led by the Chief of Tuba, Nii Tetteh Ibrahim Agbo IV, paid a courtesy visit to congratulate him on his elevation as Nifahene of the Ngleshie Alata Traditional Council.
The visit was also used to reaffirm the relationship between the Tuba community and the traditional council and to express support for efforts aimed at promoting peace and development within the area.
The Chief of Tuba, Nii Tetteh Ibrahim Agbo IV, pledged the support of his traditional leadership and the entire Tuba community for the Nifahene’s peace and development agenda.
He said the Tuba community would work with Nii Dasebre Ardey Agyemang I to advance initiatives aimed at bringing development to the area.
Nii Tetteh Ibrahim Agbo IV said the community recognised the importance of cooperation among traditional leaders and communities in addressing challenges confronting the area.
He expressed confidence that stronger collaboration among the various traditional authorities would help promote peace, unity and development within the Ngleshie Alata Traditional Council.
The Chief reiterated the commitment of the Tuba community to supporting the Nifahene as he works to foster closer relations among communities and contribute to the overall development of the traditional council.
The two traditional leaders’ call for peace comes at a time when chieftaincy-related disagreements continue to pose challenges to some traditional communities, highlighting the need for dialogue and cooperation among stakeholders.
Nii Dasebre Ardey Agyemang I therefore urged all stakeholders to support efforts to resolve disputes peacefully and prioritise the collective interests of their communities.
